Christmas Educational Project FAIL

Today I had a lot of shopping to do (as we realized last night when Jack had his nightly constitutional and we realized that no, in face we did not have an entire box of new diapers in his closet.) He was a good boy while I grocery shopped and got some other things, so I picked up a special treat - a gingerbread house kit. He was so excited, he talked about it all the way home. I figured it would be a good educational experience ("you build a house this way,") so we got home and broke out the box.

Here is a photo montage of our success (failure.)

Jack's proud of his house...
even if he does have evidence of snacking on it on his chin!!!

Daddy will be disappointed. We have some structural integrity problems with the roof...
I don't think we will be issued our Certificate of Occupancy anytime soon.
Also - only our front door is snowed in. Odd!

Aerial view. I followed Jack's exact specifications with the icing,
and he placed (ate) all the candy. It looks a bit like the
Abominable Snowman threw up all over it :)
Overall, we had a lot of fun ... but I don't think anyone will be hiring us on their architectural staff this year!!
