Last time Pop-Pop and SuSu visited (this time last year), I was hugely pregnant and ready to pop at any minute. This time, thankfully!, Caroline is a super cute big girl who is almost 1, and we had time (and energy) to take a short side trip. Neither Mom or Dad had ever been down to Pebble Beach, Carmel, or Monterey, so we took the kids on Monday and headed down the beautiful California coast.

First stop: Pebble Beach Golf Club, first tee. After a quick lunch overlooking
the Lodge and the putting green, we wandered down here. It was amazing! |

After that, we went down to the famed 18th green. It was beautiful! Sunny, breezy, warm.

After dinner in Carmel (at Clint Eastwood's restaurant, Hogs Breath) we stopped for
ice cream. Jack loved his...Caroline was very mad that she didn't have any. |

Pop-Pop made it down the HUGE (HUGE!) steep hill to the beach. He said going
up was easier on his bum knee. |

We stayed overnight in Carmel and went to Monterey the next morning for
sightseeing and lunch. (But not at Bubba Gump's. Ha!) |

Aw, I love that area! We are hoping to go down there for our next little family get away. So glad you're having fun with your parents! You look amazing!!!
