Check up with the plastic surgeon

Today's appointment went really well. I thought Jack would be getting his stitches out, but they are thankfully the dissolvable kind. He checked each suture closely under the magnifying light and confirmed that everything was healing up nicely.


In 4 days, I have to start (gently) scrubbing his wounds in the shower with baby soap and a clean washcloth to try and get the stitches off. For now, he's being very protective of his boo boos and is really good about wearing band aids and hats.

We had Pinkberry as a treat afterwards, because Caroline was at home with a babysitter and Jack loved his "date" with me.

So we are slowly but surely healing! Which is great...mainly because I'm tired of people staring at me like I'm a horrible mom every time we go out in public! ;)
