best buds.

When we found out that Caroline was a girl, I was super thrilled. I had a girl to share girly things with! No more all boys all the time. But I was a little worried (somewhere deep, deep down) because I wondered if Jack would be happier with a little brother.

That's definitely not the case. He is completely head-over-heels in love with his baby sister, and it shows every day. He worries about her eating or playing. He watches out for her doing dangerous things. He is quick to yell at her when she's doing something bad (as I have to remind him, "she only needs one mommy!") They both LOVE playtime together, whether it's at the park or the pool or in the bath. They play really well together, and while I know things may not always be this way, it makes my heart sing to see it now.

Here's photo evidence. Enjoy! These two adore each other.

He loves to feed her. It doesn't happen often, because JEEZ it's messy!!
Cuddle time before bed with Daddy. Both of them love this.
He builds towers, she knocks them down. "Friends help each other, yes they do, it's truuuueeee..."

Eating together @ Chipotle

They play tackle. And they both like it.
Sharing munchies.
Pool time.
He gets slightly more mad when she messes up his trains.

He's a big fan of teaching her. She's not always a big fan of listening.

Ignore our laundry party (yes, really. Isn't it ridiculous?!) and
see the two kids in the bottom right corner. How adorable?!?

Playground time.

More "teaching"
"But she was thirsty!"
xoxo, kiddos. We adore both of YOU.

  1. Love it, Kelly! I hope mine are the same way!!! :) And I can't wait to hear what Caroline has to say when she starts talking. If she's half as funny as Jack, we'll all stay entertained! :)
