Later in the day, we celebrated both Colin and Jack's birthdays (28 on 7/5, and 4 on 7/24, respectively.)
Colin smoked us some yummy meat! Slow carb approved ;)
After naps (for some of us) we had pool time. Caroline was very patriotic!
After dinner we relaxed on the porch waiting for fireworks:
We had a great holiday!
The next morning, on the 5th, Mom & Dad left reeaasllllyyyy early (330am!) to head to the hospital in Jacksonville. Dad got a full knee replacement on his left knee. Luckily everything went really well!
The kids and I got up and headed to Target and Chick-Fil-A (their request.) Caroline started the morning by tripping over the newspaper on the front concrete walkway and busting her face all up.
Jack got lots of mosquito bites and needed medicine (welcome to Georgia!)
Saturday we met up with old friends and their kids who were passing through town on the end of their vacation on their way back to Atlanta. We loved seeing Kyle, Carey, Charlie, and baby Holly!
Then I took the kids down to Mayo in Jax to see Dad in the hospital:
And have a nice lunch out :)
We are now entertaining ourselves (see below) waiting for Pop-Pop to come home tomorrow!
