Caroline Sue is 4 months old!

Yesterday sweet baby girl had her 4 month checkup. Her stats:

  • 24.5 inches long (73rd percentile)
  • 14 lb 3 oz (76th percentile)
  • 41.4 cm head circumference
She got her shots (sad!) but did well - only a little bit of crying for both of us. Dr. Trojnar was impressed with her physical abilities: pushing up all the way on her tummy, head control and following people/sounds, rocking and rolling on her belly, kicking on her back. She said "she's a 6-month-old baby in a 4-month-old baby's body! She's so advanced." I was thrilled and very proud!

She is having some issues GOING to sleep lately, because she just can do too much and has a lot of trouble settling down. She's also very independent and doesn't like to be rocked or cuddled. You also can't sing her to sleep because she just "sings" back...and won't close her eyes. It's really ridiculous! I spoke with the doctor about this problem and she said that she's probably hitting the 6-month sleep regression phase early, so bless us all! The good news is that once she's down, she sleeps awesome - 12 straight hours last night without a peep!

I get to start her on rice cereal and pureed veggies in a few weeks, and I think she will love it! She's growing so fast. I feel like she will be sitting, pulling, and crawling very soon.
