Jack's 3-year-old checkup and other things.

Jack's 3-year-old stats = 32.5 lbs and 36.75 inches tall. Small and mighty!! And of course we had to bring Daddy Dog for his annual checkup too. Dr. Trojnar was very impressed that he brought his own (Elmo) doctor kit, and knew the name of the thermometer and stethoscope.

She also told me not to worry about potty training. Give him ample opportunity and always encourage, but don't force it. Lots of kids (boys) aren't fully trained until they are four, and doing it early can cause dangerous constipation if the kids are scared of accidents or of going. So, that made me feel a little better. I still don't like spending $45 every time I go to Target on diapers alone, but oh well.
We have spent lots of time at the park lately. Spencer and his parents are on vacation this week so we've been kind of lost without our park buddy! It's been really hot this week (really, really, really hot) so we go first thing in the morning and come home before it gets too bad out.

Early morning snack time!

Happy to be at the park :)

Now that Caroline can sit up enough for the front part,
the kids LOVE walks in the double stroller! Mega hit.
Here are some other random shots from our day. We are glad it's Friday, and that Daddy is home tomorrow, because that means it's POOL DAY! Now that Jack is a regular Michael Phelps, he loves going. He also keeps talking about the diving board...we will see. If he does it, don't worry, I'll have the video!

SuSu was very concerned that Caroline didn't have a doll to play with.
Here is Baby Stella, which came with a magnetic binky that you can take in
and put out. Also with a "life-like pudgy baby belly!" It's super cute :)
Tonight, Jack wanted his Shamu toys and his shark from Sea World to have a bed in his bed. Here it is...
Apparently they all sleep soundly together without eating each other. Hmm.

Full bed view. He's so funny!
And finally, for Uncle Colin... Jack is now absolutely addicted to "Rescue Turtles!!" or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. We picked up a few of the 1987 DVD's at the library, and he loves them. Points if you can tell me which one is on this part of the theme song on the TV...
