Updates from the Past

Hi everyone, since we don't really have any new news to report, I figured I'd add a few pictures and tidbits from the pregnancy that we've already shared.

Here is the baby at 6 weeks on 12/19/08. You can't really see much, but its little heart was beating away in the large white blobby part on the upper left corner. It was great news! When we saw it, we were so excited and more than a little moved. This also makes us thrilled for our 18-week ultrasound, because although we have heard the baby's strong heartbeat many times since this picture was taken, we haven't seen him/her again. So we can't wait!
Bets: Justin and I both think (strongly) that it's a boy. I think we will be shocked if it's a girl! Not that we wouldn't be happy with either...but if we had to bet!

Here is my belly at 15 weeks on 2/7/09. (Yes, an ulflattering shot I know, but hey, all pregnant women do is eat and sleep, so I look like I just crawled out of bed for a reason!) The belly changes shape and size daily - some days I look pregnant and other days I just look like I had too much dinner. The doctor said we will start noticing big changes soon, so I can't wait! I even went on a maternity clothes shopping "spree" on Saturday so I will be prepared. Of course, I only bought summer clothes in anticipation of being huge in May, June, and July, so it's kind of like delayed gratification!

Justin and I are enjoying a day off for President's Day and relaxing around the house. It is much-needed! Check back in later for more updates!

Welcome to our Home Away from Home!

Hello family and friends! We thought this would be a great way to keep you informed and around throughout the pregnancy and Baby Crosby's entry into this world.

We had our 15-week checkup this morning with Dr. Wroble. She listened to the baby's heartbeat (a strong 155 beats per minute!) and said that everything is looking great. We have scheduled our next appointment, which is our 18-week ultrasound, for March 5. We hope to be able to find out the sex, if the baby cooperates! We are keeping our fingers crossed.

It is hard to believe that things are progressing so quickly! August 3 seems so far away, but I know it is right around the corner. Stay tuned for more happenings from the Crosby house in Massachusetts!
