Photo contest

My kids are cute (in my very biased opinion.)

But when one of my favorite websites ran a contest for the absolute worst, most awkward photos of your kids, I knew I had some gold hidden in my iPhoto account.

I submitted one a few weeks ago, laughed, and called it a day.

Today I found out that we are finalists! I am so honored. HA HA.
I should also credit Annette Crosby with the photo take. It was one of 4,529 she took that day last summer!

Anyway, go here to look and vote. It's awesome!

family visit!

Gigi and G-Doc came to visit for a few days last week and the kids had lots of fun running and playing and being crazy with them.

Caroline got REALLY SPOILED at the American Girl store. Seriously, if this had been
around (or if I had known about it) when I was little, it would have been bad news. This store
IS SO AMAZING! Dolls of every size, clothes for everything, and you can DO EVERYTHING
with your dolls! Get your hair done, have tea, eat lunch...it's really my heaven. Anyway.
Caroline got a new doll with hair. She really likes dressing and (mainly) undressing her. This was
how she put the baby in her bed...with her bottle and a bunch of binkys next to her, just in case :)

matching fairy ballerinas. I MEAN REALLY!

Love.

I used this picture for her 2nd birthday party invitation. HOW
IS THIS HAPPENING ALREADY?!

Gigi brought her camera out and got some great shots!

How the kids went to school/play for St. Patrick's Day :)

Justin cut his hand open at work. I guess he really is a part of
our (clumsy, ER-prone) family :)

We had a great time. We have LOTS AND LOTS going on over the next few weeks...so look for upcoming posts!

Farrell Wedding

This past weekend, we flew to Ft. Lauderdale, FL for my cousin Katie's wedding. The kids were super excited about our "vacation" and couldn't wait to hit the sun & the pool.

My parents, Pop-Pop & Susu, and Uncle Colin & Aunt Ashley met us down there after their very long drive. The kids were pumped!
At San Francisco International Airport waiting on our afternoon flight.

Finally headed to the pool...after MUCH begging and pleading!

Thoroughly happy.

I don't think she took the glasses out of her hands all weekend.

At both Chili's and the breakfast pancake house, they had
hired people on site to make balloon animals. It was awesome!
This was Jack's shark, before it hit the grass. Oops.

Diva.

Saturday afternoon, the kids hung out with a babysitter in the hotel room while all the adults went to the wedding. It was awesome to see all of our long-lost (and far-flung!) family again! And of course to see Katie & Josh take their vows :)

One of my mom's oldest friends Becky. Don't they look beautiful??

So pretty Aunt Sissy :)

Best picture of us ever!

Pi Love :)
Since everyone wants to see the beautiful bride...here's the father-daughter dance. Love!
Selfie at the reception. I danced my booty off. Ashley and I
rocked out to every song for a solid 2 hours! Justin wasn't as
enthused ;) Ha.
We left early Sunday morning for a loooong, almost 6-hour flight home to SFO. When we finally got there, the kids were so happy...and so tired!
An action shot on the airplane. Blurry because they NEVER SAT STILL.

Almost landing!

Waiting for the shuttle bus to parking. Phew!
Someone couldn't even keep her eyes open on the ride home.

...and someone else went right to bed as soon as he could!
Overall, it was a GREAT weekend! We had a ton of fun and the kids did too. It was really nice to see everyone and we hope to do it again some day...not in another 25 years (which was the last time I'd seen some of the people there!)

Lots of love...
