Jack survived his 12-month checkup and had fun playing in the toy house at Dr. Hunt's office. He was not such a fan of his shots, but what can you do??Here are his stats:
- Weight: 22.5 pounds. (45th percentile...We thought he weighed WAAAY more, we were shocked!)
- Length: 29.5 inches (38th percentile)
- Head Circumference: 46 cm (37th percentile)
Poor, short Jack. Hopefully he will grow taller soon! He also got a few shots, including:
- Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine
- MMR Booster
- Chickenpox
He has one more set of shots at 15 months and then he is DONE with well-baby visits until he is 4 years old! How exciting is that?? I was so thrilled that we probably won't have to live at the doctor's office next year. :)
Other than that, things are going fine. I did talk to them about Jack's propensity to get bit at daycare, and they assured me that although this may be very bothersome to us, it's pretty normal. Unless the bite breaks the skin, we are OK. We did talk to his teachers about this (again) and we will see where that gets us.
Jack is really changing by the day. It's amazing all of the new things he can do! He says a lot of words pretty clearly, like "bubbles" and "ball" as well as "Mama" and "Dada." (Justin said when I was working late last night, he just stood at the gate saying "Mama mama" over and over. SO CUTE!) He loves to have his belly tickled and laughs hysterially when Justin does this. He can play catch with a big bouncy ball and loves throwing things with his awesome pitching arm. Maybe we have a future Chipper Jones in our midst? Jack also loves the stairs - going up and down - which is very dangerous and means you have to keep a constant close eye on him! It is worth it, though, because he is so darn cute :)
Until next time...
