just before the big day...

Christmas is coming tomorrow to the Crosby house, because our flight to Georgia leaves bright and early at 6:20am on (the real) Christmas morning. The kids are so excited they can't stand it. I thought Caroline was immune (i.e., had no clue) to what's going on, but she only took a 45 minute nap today and she's been WIRED so I suppose I was wrong. Jack has turned into a model citizen, doing everything perfectly and calmly and super sugary nice, just in case his behavior from the past 11 months catches up to him. Ha.

I feel like we should do a catch-up post, because the kids have changed so much since last Christmas (heck, since last week!)

Caroline:

  • Likes: school, climbing, screeching (ow), giggling, DA-DA, learning new words, repeating old favorite words over and over and over again, giving kisses, anything Princess, anything pink, anything sparkly, her purses, her Little People dolls, bath time, going "pee pee," taking 2.5 hours to eat a meal, popcorn, cashews (this girl is addicted), string cheese (but only whole, not in strings. That freaks her out.), legos, blocks, and wrestling with Jack.
  • Favorite time of day: when Daddy comes home! Or bath/shower time.
  • Least favorite time of day: when Mommy's making dinner.
  • What she wants for Christmas: see above. Pink, sparkly, dolls.
Jack:
  • Likes: school, playing video games, telling stories, watching Ninjago or Paw Patrol, drawing, painting, coloring, playing with paper/tape/scissors, making crafts, building tents, pizza, rice, cereal, and most recently, salmon sushi, not taking naps, helping me cook/bake anything.
  • Favorite time of day: going to school time or after-Caroline-goes-to-sleep-but-before-his-bedtime time.
  • Least favorite time of day: when Mommy's making dinner.
  • What he wants for Christmas: a sword, a play house, a video game or 10, and hopefully a new bike :)
We are so very excited to spend the rest of today baking Santa's cookies and watching Christmas movies tonight, and most of all to seeing all of our family in Georgia in just a few short days. Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas!!!
