MARCH!

I seriously have no idea how today is March 1. I just started looking at dates and times for Caroline's 2nd birthday party (ahhh!) and I was in shock that it's only about 6 weeks away! Our spring is filling up super fast. We have lots of very exciting things coming up!

First, here's what's been going on:

We've gone from binky obsession to binky + blankie obsession.
She has both at all times unless I actively take them away and
give her something else to focus on. It's kind of ridiculous, but I keep
reminding myself that they are only this little once...

The weather has been beautiful (except for the past few days of rain)
and Justin attached both kid carriers to my bike. The kids absolutely love
doing this, but it's SO hard on my quads that I am super sore for days afterwards!
They are HEAVY.

Enjoying more beautiful weather and getting some exercise!

I have no idea why I took this...I just thought it was cute :)

You know how Caroline likes to play with all our shoes constantly?
Because of her (I blame her!) I went running with 2 different shoes on.

Spring has SPRUNG! So have all of our allergies.

We finally got to see the Dix boys a few weeks ago. It had been a
LONG TIME! We missed them. We had so much fun playing at the park.
This is "baby" Daniel, can you believe it?

She loves the swings.

Where did our little boys go?

Jack had a Valentines Day party at his school,
but Justin and Caroline were sick so they stayed home. Jack
and I still took the "family pictures" they offered. I love these!

The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE to wrestle with each other.
Sometimes it's cute, but sometimes it is REALLY REALLY
annoying because they chase each other all around the house
and one tries to hide between my legs and all the yelling...ugh.
Once again...they are only little once, right...??? RIGHT??

Jack got muddy playing outside, so I shut the screen door
so that he couldn't inadvertently come inside. He
picked some flowers and left them for me, so when I walked through
the living room this is what I saw. I thought it was super cute :)

I don't know why I thought it was so funny that I combed her hair like this.

Lol.

Random selfie after a run. #marathontraining !!!!!

Caroline only likes the TOPS of the M&M's.

He did this completely by himself...scissors and all.

Daddy's in China (again.) So I took these two out for a long ride / run / walk on the
Los Gatos Creek Trail. It was a beautiful afternoon, warm and fun. We
saw lots of ducks, geese, and other wildlife (more on that in a minute.)

Stopping for water by the reservoir.

Late afternoon sunset. Jack did 3.5 miles on his bike!
At the end, he got bored and was walking his bike instead of riding it.
He saw a small hill off the trail and wanted to try jumping off it,
so he ran into the grass on the side. I guess he stepped in or on a yellow jacket nest,
because he got this. It was awful. He screamed and cried and thought he was dying.
We've since learned A LOT of Googled information about yellow jackets because he's obsessed.

Cutie.

Someone's growing...look at that belly.

Another one that I have no idea why I took it. But those eyelashes.
SWOON.
I took my good camera to the park last week and got some great shots:

Cause why would we leave our shoes and socks ON at the park?

Her hair is out of control.

In other big news...guess who is a potty champion?!?
She's really, really good at saying "poop!" and actually
going on the potty. She forgets very rarely, only when she's playing
or we are out and about. Otherwise, I haven't changed a poopy diaper in
about a week now! She isn't close yet on pee, but she's only 22 months old.
I will take it! Girls really are much easier than boys...

We are still doing our Mommy & Me Pre-Preschool class
on Wednesday mornings. She LOVES to paint.
Seriously, picture after picture after picture.

A late-afternoon IKEA date ice cream snack :)

Best buds.
So we've stayed busy, which is great, but a little exhausting since I've been on my own for awhile now. Justin is on a plane back from Hong Kong, and should land in 6-ish hours. I am very happy to have him home!

I'm running an 8K race tomorrow morning, and then on Thursday we are leaving for a quick trip to Ft. Lauderdale for my cousin Katie's wedding. We are really excited about seeing all the Farrell's! Then Gigi and G-Doc are coming for a visit (thank goodness! I will need the help after all the QT I've been spending with the kids, ha) and then we have Holi (which is turning into a Crobsy/Birbach family tradition!), Caroline's 2nd birthday, Easter, another few running races, Kindergarten orientation, my FIRST FULL MARATHON on April 27, and then...the biggest surprise of all...we are taking the kids to DISNEYLAND for a few days at the very beginning of May! Justin had some Hyatt points that he needed to use or lose, so we decided last night on a whim to just book it. We got a sweet suite upgrade (see what I did there) and the kids have NO IDEA that it's coming. You better believe we are going to tell them on the way and video tape it! :) I seriously cannot wait. Caroline has even gotten into Mickey Mouse Clubhouse lately, so she will be thrilled, and Jack is tall enough to ride the big roller coasters now! To see him on Space Mountain is going to be ahhhh-mazing.

We have lots more going on after that, but it made me tired just thinking about the next 2-3 months. I am very thankful to be so busy, that's for sure!

  1. LOVE this update. Also, love that we got to be a part of it - finally we have returned to our playdates again! ALL of the pictures were adorable, but please, please, please blow up and farm that picture of Jack and Caroline in the tree with the pink blossoms where he is looking at her and smiling and she's just grinning. It is soooo cute!
    Let's play again soon :)

  2. Oops, I meant "frame" not "farm"

    You probably figured that out.

And sorry that you'll be excited to have two comments and they're both from me. Lol
