Superman, among other things

Jack is getting pretty creative these days. While yes, he got in trouble last week for drawing on the couch, I still let him play with markers because they let him be artistic. I walked out of the room for three minutes on Sunday, and Jack decided that he wanted to make himself "Superman," complete with a yellow mustache. (Because yes, apparently Superman had a mustache.) I asked him about the colors on the tops of his feet, and he said "that's my fur! It keeps my feet safer!" Okay....?? So here's a picture of Sir Artiste right after his masterpiece...

Notice he's holding legos. That's his "gun," which Superman also apparently has. He took those in the bathtub the other night, and lined them all up on the edge of the tub. He then carefully and gently started filling each little hole on each lego with water. I asked him what he was doing. He replied, "I'm making cupcakes! Now they go in oven." I was speechless! Where did that come from?? So creative!

He does random funny stuff like this all the time, and it reminds me how truly different their little minds work. He's taking everything very literally lately, so if you say something and it's not exactly 100% right, he is very insistent on correcting you. ("No, Mommy, that's NOT a bird, it's a HUMMINGBIRD.")

In other news, I have hit my third trimester! Yay!! I have my 29 week appointment tomorrow, and then I start going every 2 weeks until 36 weeks, when I will go weekly. I am excited to enter this next phase because it means she is almost here. :) And no, she still doesn't have a name...we will tell you when she does, but we are pretty sure we are going to the hospital with a list of names and deciding then. If Jack had his way, she would be "Garbage Truck Crosby." :)
