Finally! Caroline gets some real food! (Well, rice cereal, pureed peas, sweet potatoes, carrots, and apples. Not quite appetizing. But still!)
Anyway, she hasn't quite gotten the hang of eating from a spoon yet, but it's not for lack of trying. I have been attempting to get something into her mouth every day, feeding her around the same time we eat dinner. (She usually sits in Jack's old high chair and gums a toy while we eat family dinners. She loves to smile and giggle at all of us while we eat and talk.)
Here are some pictures of her super-cute attempts. She is very interested, but just can't seem to get that little mouth working right yet!

| Peas. |
 |
| I'd get a spoonful in, and she'd immediately spit it back out. But then she'd laugh :) |

| Letting Jack get in on the action. He loves to feed her. (HER OWN FOOD. NOT SHRIMP.) |
I also noticed that you can clearly see the JAR of peas in this picture. If you know me, you know I was super excited and into making all of Jack's baby food from scratch. I do plan to do the same for Caroline, but I can't bring myself to pull everything out yet when she isn't actually even ingesting any food yet. For now I am using only organic and pure pre-made baby food, and when she actually starts eating something, I will dig through storage and find our blender/steamer/etc. Don't worry, little girl...you will get Mommy's home cookin' too!

| "Hey Mom, what is this crap??" |
 |
| Jack showing her where her food goes. He is so adorable when he's being nice. |
 |
Anxiously awaiting more of her sweet potatoes! I let her gum a banana too,
but it made her gag. Maybe not quite ready for that yet. |
And some other random shots from today...
 |
| Look what I found in the baby swing!! |
 |
| Poor Caroline has a bad cold. This is the only way she wants to sleep - as tightly wrapped as possible. |
