Happpppy birthday!

Here are some pictures of the flowers blooming in our neighborhood. They are so beautiful - these pictures don't do them justice. It makes me smile to see giant, vibrant flowers everywhere we go!

Yesterday we celebrated C's first birthday. She's so adorable (even if she did decide, temporarily, that sleeping was for the birds.)
"It's my birthday, and I'll stay up if I want to!"
It's so surreal to have a 1-year-old. She's no longer my baby, that's for sure! She's a very fast crawler, who stands sometimes, who will be walking any day now. She's super smiley and giggly and laughs at everything, especially her silly brother...

Everyone loves being kicked in the chest, right?
This was them playing "Aquarium." Jack was the crab in the touch pool, and
C was the kid visiting him. It was hilarious. Very wet and messy! But hilarious.
Learning to wink. Not quite sure why...but she does it all the time now. It's really funny...everytime she does it, Jack goes "AARRRGGGHHHH!" like she's a pirate.

Here are some very blurry pictures of playtime. She finally has girly toys!

Sweet sparkle!

And finally - no post would be complete without some type of ridiculousness from little man. His ear was bothering him yesterday, so last night before bed I gave him Advil. It's blue, so I call it our "Superman medicine." As he was laying down to go to sleep, he was asking me about all the stuff it could fix.

Me: "Well it's medicine for pain. So whereever you have pain, it will help it feel better."
Jack: "My ear? My nose? My twisted ankle?" (No idea, but I went with it.)
Me: "Sure. All of those."
Jack: "Will it help fix my broken heart?"

Pause.

Me: "Why do you have a broken heart?"
Jack: "Well, that's why I'm bad. Because my heart is broken. If I get my heart fixed, I will be good!"

It's very cute, all cuddled up with him in bed. He comes up with the funniest stuff.

Xoxo, until next time!
