- Head circumference: 45.7 cm (70th percentile - big brain in there)
She excelled at each task that she was required to do (babbling, pulling up, cruising, bending over to pick something up, switching objects between both hands, picking up very small items in a pincher grasp, saying a few words.)
The only sad part of the day was when they checked her hemoglobin. I guess anything above an 11 is normal. At her 9 month checkup, she was 10.6. Yesterday, at 12 months, she was 9.5. The doctor was slightly concerned (although tried not to alarm me) and they've put in an order for her to have a full blood panel done "as soon as possible - try tomorrow."
Yikes. I have to take her in today at 4:15. I am NOT excited for her, and for me. It will be so sad and scary to have to hold her down while they take vials of blood. Here's to hoping everything is fine and she just needs some extra iron.
